If the flow of some pumps varies strongly with pressure, a back pressure valve can be installed at the pump outlet, keeps the pump output flow stable, in this case the back pressure valve is normally set to the pump working pressure or slightly below it. The check valve on the outlet line prevents backflow of liquid, the back pressure valve maintains a constant pressure at the pump outlet.

● Provides a pressure differential on both sides of the back pressure valve piping
● Prevents siphoning, Eliminates dosing variations caused by pressure fluctuations at the injection point
● Used together with pulse dampers to reduce water-hammer damage to the system
● Protects piping, elbows and fittings, reduces the impact of pressure fluctuations
● Delivers its full effect only when used with other line components such as pulse dampers
